For further help with the identification of a pipe thread see
Maryland Metrics.and
Colder Products. help
pages.
In the UK, basin and sink tap connecting threads are NORMALLY 1/2"BSP (approx
21.5mm OD).
Bath tap connecting threads are NORMALLY 3/4"BSP (approx 26.5mm OD).
HOWEVER, monobloc (one-hole) and some specialist taps will use various sizes of
connecting tails and/or compression fittings.
The accepted UK standard domestic water feed pipe sizes are 15mm OD copper tube
(for basin and sink taps, also mainswater feed to bath taps) and 22mm OD copper
tube (for gravity-fed bath taps).
